About Captain Bernie

Captain Bernie Lefebvre is a highly respected Destin fishing Charter Captain. He was born here when his father was assigned to the local military base. Since then, he has devoted much of his life to serving the community that gave him such a wonderful start in life.

His love of fishing began when he was just a young boy, as his father took him out to go fishing with friends. This early experience sparked an unwavering passion in Captain LeFebvre that has only grown over time. He started working on commercial vessels in 1984, where he gained expertise in navigating the ocean and catching fish. With years of experience under his belt, Captain Lefebvre has become something of an expert in the field; he now captains his boat from which he takes passengers out for deep-sea fishing trips. His experience began when he was in college, where he worked as a deckhand for a charter boat business owned by his father and a friend. 

He soon became known as one of the top captains in the Destin fishing charter industry due to his mastery of both trolling techniques as well as knowing how to select the best equipment for each situation. His experience also extends beyond tournaments and professional fishing competitions. He routinely takes out recreational anglers on charters where he educates them on different trolling techniques and helps them catch some amazing catches that they'll remember forever!

Captain Bernie Lefebvre's specialty is offshore fishing and deep sea fishing, two of the most popular types of recreational saltwater angling for Destin tourists. 

Offshore fishing takes place far from land, typically between four and twelve miles out. It can offer some of the best chances to catch larger game fish like Marlin or Sailfish as well as a variety of other inshore species like Grouper, Snapper, and Cobia. Deep sea fishing goes even further out beyond twelve miles but offers very similar rewards with large pelagic species like Amberjack or Tuna being plentiful when conditions are right.
